IE7 was working fine and then all of a sudden it will open blank for a second and then shut down. Good thing I have Firefox or I wouldn't be able to get on the internet. I have run spybot and scanned for virus but nothing. Don't know what to do. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still won't open. help! Lisa

Try opening it with no add-ons - from 'Programs/accessories/system tools/IE no add-ons'. If that works then reset IE by going through Control Panel/Internet Options/Advanced & click on the 'reset' button - it will reset IE to its default settings and allow you to enable add-ons as required & see which one's messing up. "I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..."
I tried that and it still won't open.
What do you mean, Hijack This didn't work? What did it find and what did you delete?

Sorry, A friend did it for me and I really don't know how since I was at work at the time. I will have him post how. Again, sorry.

He told me that he uninstalled XP SP3 then uninstalled IE7 then after he restarted the computer then some updates downloaded and then he reinstalled IE7 restarted ran anti virus software and then started IE and it opened.
