HI
I am having trouble with Internet Explorer 7. Any website that need ActiveX (Windows Update for example) don't work. The Information bar tells me "Your security settings do not allow web sites to use ActiveX controls installed on your computer. Click here for options..."
Usually when you click on the bar, it will allow you to use the activex, but all I get is "Information Bar Help" - and that's it

I have gone to Internet Options-Advanced Tab and I've clicked the RESET button which is supposed to reset everything to default. I have also set all my Security tab features to default. Under the security tab, if I click custom level...there is nothing there, it's blank. Same thing under the Advaced tab, there's nothing there either - blank!

I have all Windows Updates installed.

How can I fix this?
Thanks!

homer, take a look at your security tab settings in IE. Anything higher than 'med' will block. Seems I recall that it defaults to 'high'(?).

Hi
Thanks for the tip. I have however moved all sliders right to the bottom to test whether or not it would work - which it didn't.

Also, on every other machine that I have\use, the default settings let me to choose to allow activex.

Thanks for your help!
