Hi,
I have XP with ie7, recently I installed a piece of software that requires me to use a proxy. Everything works fine except for the homepage. The homepage takes longer to load than normal no matter what website i use as a home page (e.g. googe, yahoo etc). Once it finishes loading browsing is back to normal speed. It's only the homepage that is problematic.
When i disable the software with the proxy settings (or remove the proxy settings from ie7) everything works fine. What i don't understand is when i use ie6 with the software/proxy it works perfectly fine but won't with ie7?
Does anyone know what could be causing the slow start up of the homepage in ie7? I've tried disabling my other software such as Zone Alarm 7, norton antivirus 2005 and Adaware but no change.
Summary: Since i have upgraded to XP SP2 it takes about a minute for my home page to load, before SP2 it was near instant. Anyone got this problem, anyone know of a fix?? ...
