Hi,
I've run into a problem that puzzles me to no end. If I go to any site to download a pic from it...for example, free clipart,etc;
I'll right click on the pic, then save target as and a box opens up on where to save it to. It wants to save the pic to my pictures, BUT, I would like to save it to my desktop, so as soon as I hit the toggle switch on the right of the save to box my PC freezes up. I can still move my cursor, so I try the toggle again, still frozen, then finally after say 3 minutes or so, the screen goes blank and then it reloads and I can access the toggle and save the pic to my desktop.
Here's what I've done:
1- numerous spyware and AV scans
2- cleaned all the trash files using ATF Cleaner and CCleaner
3- tried a system restoreAlso all my criticals are up-to-date.
Would anyone happen to know a fix for this problem?
ThanksHopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

I'm seeing some ie7 freeze problems in conjunction with nVidia drivers. Have you tried updating the drivers whether Nvidia or not?
Does the freeze occur if you save to the My Pics folder and or use a different browser?
sLLs

Thanks for the reply. If I try to save it to the default My Pictures folder it still freezes up and also on Firefox
I'll check the nvidia drivers to see if there's a new up-date for themHopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Hi LL,
I installed the new nvidea drivers and still have the same problem. Any other ideas?
