IE7 and Favorites

Comment:
Installed IE7. Favorites are in Alphabetical order.
I want custom order (NEWS to be the first folder in Favorites).
I have reset options under Tools/internet options/advanced/enable personalized favorites menu to yes and it makes no difference.
If I try to move folders in the favorites folder itself it will allow me to move folders to the bottom of the list but not to the top of the list. Same with favorites within folders.
I would really appreciate some help with this. JoAnn

Try this site. I never had much success arranging IE7 Favorities list exactly the way I want. Over time I learned to adapt myself with whatever M$ designed and uploaded as freebie. Freebies are usually devoided of user preference options & configurations except for Internet Options as in the case of IE.

Place an % sign in front of the folder name and it will sort to the top. Another note, I have all my favorites in folders labeled A-B-C for the first and D-E-F for the second ETC and placed the favorites in the folders by the first letter of the subject, that makes it a lot easier to find something out of 800 plus bookmarks.

It's no different than previous versions. Just open the favorites menu from the IE toolbar, drag the bookmark to where you want it on the menu, then release
