Hi,
I just uninstalled IE6 using XPLite because I was having problems with it.
I thne downloaded the full setup file (70MB) and each time I run it whilst initializing the setup, I get the following error:
'Setup was unable to install the components. Please close all applications and try running setup again'.
How can i get rid of this problem so that i can install IE6 ?

As an option, you could install an alternate browser, such as firefox 1.0.
do you have a firewall running? or any sort of web filter? i have a web filter at my office that restricts traffic, I have to turn it off to do certain microsoft updates.
it could also be a user issue. Only the admin can install windows updates.
