Good Evening everyone,

The problem I'm having with IE6 is that when I'm on a web page and there's an option to click for more pics or whatever the action is that opens a new window, the original window will close instead of an additional window opening up. The new window does appear with the info, but the original window closes so I loose my page. Does anyone else have this problem. I installed SP2 on a fresh install before I loaded any programs. I also use Mozilla Firefox without any problems. I checked every available setting in the advanced tab for Internet tools, and everysetting in the SP2 security settings. I'm running AVG antivirus and microsoft firewall is enabled, but disabling it didn't do a thing. I'm also using Google toolbar, but have gone through all the settings there as well. Could this be an SP2 problem. Any help is always appreciated. Thanx

Check your add/remove programs for any Yahoo entries (even if you never intentionally installed it). If you find any, remove all except Yahoo Messenger. You may need to restart.

You could also try uninstalling the Google toolbar to see if it makes a difference.

Some people have suggested unchecking "Reuse windows..." in Internet Options>Advanced.

-scan for adware/spyware, etc.

Hey HiJinx,

Thanx for the tip. I removed yahoo toolbar from Add/remove and it worked. I'll have to remember that in the future. You saved me from pulling out all my hair.
