Every time I open a new IE window it steals focus. Even after clicking back to the original window after the new window loads it steals focus back. I know older versions of Explorer had a toggle to retain focus or give it to the new window. I use multiple windows constantly and it is driving me mad. I want it to open and load all in the background so I can look at it WHEN I WANT TO. Not when it wants me to. PLEASE HELP ME before I have a meltdown and hurt my father-in-laws computer>>>><<<<

The mozilla firebird engine is much better with allowing it to never focus until you actually click that tab...You can even open a new page and that'll load behind the page your currently viewing http://www.mozilla.org/ ps, it's also more secure!
I know what your talking about and I don't know how to remedy this. Another problem, perhaps you know a solution to, is there anyway to stop XP from compliling all the explorer browsers into ONE tab on the taskbar. It seems the only way is to make the taskbar bigger by dragging it up and stealing my desktop space :(. It was much better in 98 when it kept em spread out as my preference.
best o luck jb
