When I go to a few certain sites, I get the error, "Internet Explorer cannot open internet site http://... Operation Aborted" I have tried several different things to take care of this, but have had no luck so far. It started happening Friday afternoon. Any suggestions on how to repair this? Thanks

Try system restore first and if that fails run adaware and spybot to remove spyware from your PC.
If that fails too try another browser like netscape to see if IE is the main problem.

I have tried system restore, I also ran two different spyware programs that found nothing. I used HijackThis and Spybot. I installed Mozilla, and it works fine. I would rather use IE for the integration within windows, so I hope to get this fixed soon. Thanks for any advice!

Reinstall IE..and see if that works
You must be logged in as Administrator
Click start, run, and then type the following
%systemroot%\inf
note: no spaces
click ok to open the INF folder
Locate the ie.inf file. Right click the file and then click install. This should reinstall for you.
