My computer seemed to be working fine, then I tried to go online with Internet Explorer and I can't the "this page cannot be displayed" message. I can still update my antivirus software etc so I know my connection is good. I have run a couple of programs that say they fix any winsock errors and they came up clean. I also ran sfc /scannow which didn't replace any files so I guess they were all good. I updated and ran Spybot which found nothing. I removed my antivirus software all together to make sure nothing was blocking it....but it still doesn't work.
I have 3 separate users and when I sign in to with the other users account's, everything works fine.
HI I have tried google...but for the most part, I can't find anything that I haven't tried all ready.
Thanks

Check your Internet Explorer connection settings in Internet Options (Control Panel). Make sure there's no proxy set or config scripts in the LAN settings (you're not a dial-up, are you?).
If all else fails, run the Network Setup Wizard again from the Control Panel.
I have tried dial up and dsl (through a router)....everything else works - Firefox, update Antivirus etc...just IE doesn't work. THanks for your suggestions
