I would like to create a shortcut that opens IE and directs a person to the below URL with credentials to our domain.
So credentials are domain\username and the password. Using these credentials I would like it to go to...
http://gs:8101/...overview.aspx
This is our Sharepoint site. We would like a user to just click on the link, get authenticated and direct them to a particular page on Sharepoint. I was unsure of where to post this or if it is even possible.
Let me know if you have any ideas.

If IE is your default browser, right click your desktop - New=
Shortcut - Paste in the address =
http://gs:8101/...overview.aspx - click Finsh
This will open Internet Explorer and go to that website.
I don't know about user name and password.

Yes I know that part. But I would like to pass in username and password for our domain along with that shortcut. I would like a one click shortcut.
A user clicks on the IE shortcut it authenticates using statically supplied credentials.
Like I said I do not even know if this is possible.
