Hi,

I have an Internet Explorer problem. When I open it up, it opens fine. But, if I click on a link on the already opened page, it opens a much smaller window in IE without any option to expand it. Is there a way of fixing this?

Thanks

Open IE
Tools
Options
Advanced
Re-use windows for launching shortcuts.
Also, on your IE icon, right click, properties, in the RUN window, select maximized.

See if that helps.

If you don't want the second window Maximised when it Opens then set it to open at 'Normal' and then just re-size it using the 'grab' at bottom right and then Close using the X - next time it Opens it should open as you left it

Ken, Follow these instructions exactly to correct your problem.

Right click the shortcut icon for IE next to the Start button, choose Properties, change it from 'normal' to 'maximized'. Now open it.
Now right click any link on the page, choose Open In New Window....don't maximize it....instead, use the mouse to resize it to what you want it to be.

Now close the FIRST window you opened, and then close the new one you just resized.

Reopen IE from the shortcut icon again, and all windows from now on will be the size you chose and created.

My IE Shortcut is set to Run-Normal and all IE windows open at whatever size they were when closed - is that unusual?

Lesley, That's normal and isn't anything unusual so I wouldn't be concerned.
