I can get some web pages to load, specifically ones that require a sign on and password. I can connect fine and get to basic pages like Yahoo or Espn, but can't get into my banking page, espn bowl picks or my united mileage plus account.
I get this message:
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.
I have tried adjusting my setting and have restored default settings and nothing is working. I also tried getting to some fixes on Microsoft's site and those pages won't load and there is no password necessary for those???
Help?Thank You, SanDee

I don't understand what you mean - (I am a novice)
I have zonealarm running from lavasoft. the problems may have started when we tried McAfee's firewall.Thank You, SanDee

well if your running zone alarm and mcafee's firewall, they
can conflict with each other. Disable on and see if that
fixes it. If not, disable both and try. If that fixes it, then try
changing settings in the firewall. I dont recommend
leaving the firewall disabled, it is important.

Hi - I disabled and uninstalled the McAfee firewall and turned of the ZoneAlarm and that didn't fix it.
Thank You, SanDee

i'm having the same porblem with my computer...i cannot get in to any secure websites, like MSN messenger, hotmail, banking etc....a few months ago there was a forum where one guy changed his port to 443 or something and he said it fixed his problem..i am also a novice and have no idea how to do that...if anyone knows how to change ports and where it can be done, or whether there is another solution to this problem, that would be great....

I think the problem may be linked to ports that are identified through the windows firewall. They can be messed up if you use an on-line game, like I did when I was playing spongebob with my little one. How do I fix ports? Do I need to fix them in the windows firewall even if i have it disabled?
Thank You, SanDee
