IE opens site in different window

When clicking a Favorite or a Link you have set up in IE6, it will use a second browser window (if you have one open) to go to the site, rather than the actual IE window that you clicked the link in. How do you STOP this and get IE6 to use the same window you are working in to go directly to the link, rather than a different one?

try looking in preferences or options in IE6. there should be an option to open links in new window. deselect this. hope this works
