Hello friends,

I am having issues with Internet Explporer.

When trying to open any website it freezes it self and does not allows to do anything.

Cant close the window nor scroll the page for first few seconds. Then suddenly it comes back and starts working normally.
Then again will freeze after some time.

This has been happening since when of my idiot roomie downloaded a mail with worm called netsks or something.

I removed that worm on the spot using A-squared AV software.

Then windows shows me capabilitymanager.exe is corrupted. But after removing worm havent got any such warning about capabilitymangaer.exe any more.

When looking at processes from task manager it shows me there are around 22-30 them running and all looks good there.

Now what could be the issue with IE?

any help would be great..!!!

IE6 or IE7? If it is IE7, have you tried removing it and going back to IE6, to see if that solves the problem?

In control panel add/remove programs there should be an entry for IE6. Then your supposed to select "remove" and it will give you the option to repair IE.

But I don't see this in my xp home computer. So I don't know where you'd find it. But I think there is a way to direct the computer to Repair IE somewhere.

You could try downloading IE6 from the microsoft website and replacing it too.
