IE favorites WON'T hide

Hi all,
About 2 months ago I imported IE favorites onto a new machine running XP. These favorites were exported from a W2000 machine. The problem is that ALL my favorites are now listed on my XP machine, including those that I rarely/never visit - they aren't hidden. So now I have a pile of favorites listed every time I click Favorites on the IE or Explorer toolbar.
My last problem was with IE on W2000 - several of my most-regularly used favorites disappear along with those I rarely use...
Anyone have a solution to either or both problems?
May take awile, but just goto Organise favs and delete all the ones u dont need.

Yeah, but I have other favorites that I visit infrequently that I'd like to keep, but which should remain hidden until I unhide them... What about them?
Ok i have tons i rarely goto but still need. i make new folders and categorize my favs. ie games, forums, music, Utilities,Orders etc. now i just goto the folders containing favs i use reg and putem in order of priority or by name if u like. does that help?
