IE explorer boot

I have windows XP and on some sites I click on, Explorer kicks off and Im left back at my desktop. Why is it doing this? Thanks

Good question. Can be many things. What have you checked? Like for virus's, spyware, patches etc.? When did it start? Look at event viewer and see if there are log entries concerning this.

ive scanned for everything..cant remember when it started. how do i check the event viewer?
