I cannot open the google website. I can connect to it from other machines on my LAN. I checked the route from another machine and checked this one. On my machine it takes more hops and apparently a different route. At the end of the route it ends with timeouts. I tried ipconfig /flushdns and a couple other ipconfig commands. I deleted all of my temporary internet files and cookies. Reboot my machine multiple times. Disabled and re-enabled my wireless nic. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

First, double-posting your questions will not get you help faster. In fact some people ignore those that post over and over.

Anyway, can you go to other websites? Can you get to the Internet at all? If you post what your tracert to google.com looks like maybe that would help.

Well I didn't mean to double post i accidentally refreshed the post page. Yes I can get to other sites but I already figured it out. For anyone else who is having a problem like this. The problem was that I had spyware that was redirecting the dns. Anything going to google was redirected to 64.191.59.85

Looks like you've been infected with the qhost-1 virus. Basically, some of the more popular searches and websites get redirected somewhere else. For instance, if you don't get the google.com site, try www2.google.com. You can also do a "tracert www.google.com" using your command line (start->run->cmd, type "tracert www.google.com") to check the IP. Microsoft posted a security patch for IE (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9ec38b4a-967c-4d8a-98c1-5e7797be8732&displaylang=en)

Symantec (Norton) has released a trojan remover. Unfortunately, this tools doesn't repair all instances.

Network Associates (McAfee) also released a download. Again, this is not 100%. This is plainly seen in NAI's description of the virus compared to that of Symantec's.
