I'm having a problem with Internet Explorer (v6). I can't recall when this started to happen. It will give me quite a few "Page cannot be displayed" messages for what i think may be cgi generated pages (?). It's a bit hard to explain, so maybe these screenshots will help:

So far, I have tried:
- resetting all the settings to default
- clearing cache & cookies
- disabling SP2 firewall
- running antivirus scan
- running adaware, spybot and hijackthis
- disabling IE add-ons
- downloading windows updates

Nothing has worked so far. I am currently downloading SP2 again to see if this might fix it. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks you

Does this happen all the time no matter which website you visit?

No, this only happens on a few websites (ebay, computing.net, hotmail). Now that i think of it, it may be one of the anti-adware programs that blocks what it thinks might be ads.
But the problem will be fixed soon. When I re-installed SP2, my computer went into a loop of hell. Bios Boot screen > XP Boot screen > Reboot > Bios Boot screen... Even selecting safemode would only reboot my computer. I had no choice but to pop in the "Recovery" CD in the top tray. Luckily I had backed up all my important stuff on a USB key.

I also had a similar problem. I found that if I disable the PopSwatter (on the my web search toolbar), the problem went away. Hope this helps you too.
