Are you running spyblocker? It creates a file called host in the windows/system32/drivers/etc. file. delete that file.

Ever wondered what Error(312) means ? Look it up with this, or have it list all the errors your operating system is able to give. Also good for programmers who need to throw a specific system error. Go to Software menu.

===================================

If you want to stop the blue screen auto reboot so you can read the error message from the screen:

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System
Go to Advanced
Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings...
Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"

(excuse my blonde termenology) still didnt work. i think my computer would run better if i threw it out a 20 story building and duct taped all the pieces together

Start-msconfig-startup and uncheck spyblocker. reboot and delete the host file as before. Spyblocker recreates the host file on startup. I went through this before. Uninstall spyblocker.

1. Click Start and then click Run.
2. Type services.msc and click OK.
3. Look for the service named Remote Procedure Call and double-click it.
4. Click the Recovery tab.
5. Under all of the First, Second and Subsequent failures, change it to Take No Action.
:) I hope this solves your problem
