Is your Cable Internet connection to this PC via a Router or straight from Cable modem to the PC?
Do you have another Browser like FireFox or Netscape that can connect and the problem is only with Internet Explorer 6 Sp1?

If you are using a Cable Modem, please check the IP Address, using IPCONFIG and post it... It could be that you are getting an Invalid 169 IP address...

My PC never Crashes nor does it have Bugs - It just develops random Features at times.
