I noticed that my IE and Windows Media Player won't connect to the net. I'm not sure how it gotten that way. When I open my IE browser, the status bar on the bottom says CONNECTING TO 0.0.0.255 . I can use non-MS applications such as AIM and Firfox browsers, so I'm assuming its all MS apps that can't connect to the net. Can someone help please?

I assume your connection is not configured right. call your net supplier and ask him to reinstall with you the internet connection.
