IE address bar deleting address aut

For the past few weeks whenever I go to the drop down list in my IE address bar the previous addresses are being deleted automatically. This does not happen on a daily basis but is rather annoying.
I haven't changed any settings to my knowledge, and have only installed XP updates. No other downloads that I recall.
Any ideas?

try opening IE and going to tools/internet options/ and where it says "days to keep pages in history" if it is set to 0 then your history is just gettin deleted when you close IE so if you change it to 1 then they will stay in there for a a day! ect..
