IE 8 Read Mail Button

When I click on the read mail button in IE8, nothing happens. It should open OE. Is there a fix for this. Thanks!

Open internet explorer, click on tools menu, select internet options, go to programs tabs and select outlook express in email options.

Thanks but I already tried that. It's almost like there is no "communication" between the button and OE.
