On a daily bais if not more when trying to open IE 8 nothing happens. Just a blank page. I must use ctrl/alt/detete to even close it. Now this happens when I click on my IE icon or go in file & open a new window. I've scaned for virus,(none) use ad-aware, spybot & almost everything there is. (nothing) Now I've found 2 ways to fix it for awhile or until it happens again. Download IE again or tools/options & reset IE. But in time it happens again. Any ideals? Thank you all for your help.

Dump IE8 since it hasn't been yet released emasse. Go back to IE7 and stay put until M$ officially release the official IE8 version.

By any chance, do you have the Google toolbar installed? If so, I found this from the Microsoft forums:

If you wish to reinstall IE8 Beta 2 for further testing:

1. Uninstall Google Toolbar before reinstalling IE8B2.

2. Download the appropriate installer, saving it to your desktop (do NOT Run
it).

3. Reboot into Safe Mode w/Networking.

4. Double-click on the saved installer to begin the installation procedure.

5. Reboot twice.

I was advised to just dump the IE 8 & go back to IE 7. I agreed this might be the best thing to do. Now when trying to delete IE 8 after a moment a pop up comes up.... Setup can not copy the file hmmapi.dll.mui. Ensure the location specified below is correct or change it & insert windowss NT service pack uninstall directory in the drive you specify..... c:\windows\ie8

What happen or what did I do? Is there a way to correct this? thank you all.

Found this on Tek-Tips:
Taking ownership and changing the file and folder permissions on C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer, C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\en-US, C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\PLUGINS\RichFX resolved the problem for me

This program might also work:

I hope deviant719 suggestion above works but if it doesn't then ...

Have you run a registry cleaner since installing IE8 Beta?

What security, antispyware, antivirus programs are running?

Are you running Zone Alarm, Spybot or Spybot TeaTimer?
