To be honest I have tried IE 7 four different times since it went up on the windows update site. I now am still using IE 6. Just personal preference I guess but I really didn't like it.

Practice makes perfect but only if you practice perfectly!

I'm really pleased that M$ are not including IE7 and WMP 11 in Win XP Service Pack 3.

It may be caused by the security features of IE7. You may want to go back to IE6 but if you get Vista you have no choice.

I don't like IE7 either. I'm not a fan of Mozilla and not happy the MS stole from them. I like the fact of having control over deleting my cookies and temp internet files.

With IE7 and Mozilla, they have files scattered all over the place. Some of them are hidden.

I, for one, am a fan of IE7. It has grown on me. When I am at work I only have IE6 and find myself missing some of IE7's feature when there.

I originally found IE7 to be a tad slower in opening after launching but find it faster once opened.

When they first came out with it there was an issue with the Phishing filter but from:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928089
entitled "The computer may respond very slowly as the Phishing Filter evaluates Web page contents in Internet Explorer 7"
shows the resolution to be:
"Security update information
To resolve this problem, install the most current cumulative security update for Internet Explorer 7. To install the most current updates, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

The above article was dated May 18, 2007 so you should have already installed the latest IE7 Security update so I suspect there is something more at play.

I would suggest setting IE7, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab, scroll to bottom and place a tick next to "Empty temporary internet files folder when browser is closed", Click Ok, close all open instances of IE and relaunch.

Otherwise you may have too many installed toolbars or some adware is at play on your machine.
