I have just installed a new hard drive with Windows XP because my old one died. Ever since the fresh install I have been having odd issues with Internet Explorer. I try to open certain sites and as the page begins to load then the window automatically closes? I have not had this problem with all sites... only some. On this site...computing.net everytime I press the Back button I get the "Warning page has expired" error. A refresh of the page helps but what a pain! This was never an issue before... and I had the same setup. My Yahoo mail never shows up I have to constantly delete my temp files..
I have a Dell Optiplex GX240. I have tried installing the service pack1 for XP and for IE. I have also tried removing them and with no luck. I have searched for this issue over and over again but cannot seem to locate anyone with the same problem. I am about to format and start over but the curiosity is killing me of what the problem is. I do not have any ad killer installed and i have up to date dat files for my Trend antivirus.. Anyone have any imput? Thanks!! :)

try changing your refresh settings under.
Tools>internet options> settings.

if you have it set to "refresh on every visit" it will give you that page was expired error.

Can't help with the other problems. sorry.
