IE 6 will not login

I have IE 6 with all the latest patches but when I go to a website which I click on to login it gives me an error at the bottom of the left corner saying script error (no login winodws will pop up). I haver reset everything in the internet options and checked for spyware and clear all temp internet files.
What is wrong with it?, I even went back to IE 5.5 but still not working and disable all programs running on login and background applications, I do not have a software firewall installed.
