again I installed IE 6 sp2 read all faq's & relevant info having crashes blue screens address bar won't open in IE/ freezes happens when I install the latest supposed fix for IE have tried several times now & why does windows update still want to install it/ doesn't recognise it has said it is installed so how do I fix this problem??

Felix, Try running the system file checker to repair IE 6. Go to start then run and type in sfc /scannow. There is a space between the c and the /. After it is repaired then go to windows update.

I have just searched the Microsoft Downloads web site for IE 6 SP2 and come up with a BIG NONE! What are you trying to install? Windows XP SP2?
