Comment:

In winxp home, is there a way to identify which
services (programs) are running through svchost?
In winxp pro and win2000, there is a run
command however this doesn't work for xp home.
I'm not concerned these are viruses/spyware...etc,
I'd just like to know who or what is running.

You can download tasklist.exe from here and place in system32 folder, at command prompt type tasklist /svc and hit enter.

It would be nice to have a way to edit posts,
I meant to add tasklist.exe is the run command you are referring to, it works in home edition as well.
