Heres a weird one
I have a Compro TV card in my box along with Primary Master 120Gig Harddrive
Primary Slave 80Gig Harddrive
Secondry Master CDr
But
Secondry Slave is a IDE removable harddrive bay that just affectively connects a standard IDE harddrive to the computer.

Here is the weird thing TV card works fine up until I plug in Tray containing the removable Harddrive then windows boots up and says "Windows has detected new multimedia device" then it Fails to install the drivers and the TV Card doesn't work until I finish using the removable harddrive and remove it, then windows boots up normal and tvcard works, This happens everytime I plug in my removable.

I checked the Irq and stuff and im pretty sure its not conflicting there.

I cant think of anything else a TV card would have that could conflict with a Harddrive ?

Any ideas?

Cheers

Hi.. I would consider updating the Motherboard BIOS and the Drivers. Sometimes conflicts are not shown but still exist.

Good luck

I found that previous versions of windows did not detect my Creative Labs audio irq conflicts (that caused problems even though windows did not see them).

I do not know if this happens in XP, but you could try changing the tv card IRQ in the bios. Write down the original settings so you can go back if you need to.
