Comment:

I've been using ICS for awhile and it was working great until recently. Now, when I turn on the client PC, it cannot cannot to network drives, browse the internet, etc. Repairing the connection failed. So did trying to re-make the connection. I also ran the network troubleshooter all the way through. Nothing is working. So, I tried a system restore. That worked, but now its doing the same thing and now when I try a system restore, it says "Restoration Incomplete" no matter what date I choose.

Thanks for any help.

To get us up to par with you, can you give us information about your network?

1. You have not told us how many PCs are there in your Home-network (guessed it so). I assume it is just two from your statement :"Now, when I turn on the client PC, it cannot cannot to network drives, browse the internet, etc"

2. What type of Internet access you have:
Dial-Up
Broadband-> DSL or Cable

3. How have you networked these two PCs?

A: Wired network?
B. Wireless Network?
Details of HUB /Switch or Router.(Make and Model) linking the Wide Area Network and the Local A rea Network.

1) Just two.

2) DSL

3) The ICS host connects to the modem by usb and the two PCs are connected with a crossover cable.
