After going through several pages of this forum, my problem seems rather unimportant. However, I would like to remove a printer icon from my task bar. I have already through the control panel deleted the printer, etc. But I am having a problem deleting the icon. Thanks.

Hello Mickil960, do you mean near the Start button? If sio Right click, choose delete.
I presume you mean near the clock, then, click start, run, type in .. msconfig Start up programs, locate the entry, untick it, click apply o.k. Restart your computer.

I did mean near the clock. I did as you indicated but was unable to recognize the item that pertains to the printer icon.

Then start guessing and unselect one at a time or in bunches. You won't hurt the system by temporarily disabling any of the programs in msconfig.
