Hey, I have a IBM Thinkpad T21 on which a recent problem has begun to occur. Whenever I turn the laptop on, the monitor does not come on correctly. All that can be seen is a very dark image, so I'm guessing the backilight isnt coming on. If I shake the lid a little, it sometimes comes on. This is a very annoying problem and I fear it may be connection related rather than driver/software related. I posted this message by hooking the laptop up to my TV, but its no good for when I'm out and about. Any help is welcome, cheers, Matt

MrMatt, have to agree with you. Sounds like a hardware problem to me since physical shaking sometimes makes it work. A tech should be able to track it down. HTH. Ed in Texas.
