i have been having problems installing Windows XP. People have told me to try copying the i386 folder to the c: drive and running winnt.exe to install it. My question is...how do i copy it, and how do i create the i386 directory on the c drive using dos commands???

Thanx

MD i386 to create a folder named i386
xcopy d:\i386\*.* c:\i386 to copy
but why copy to HD when u already have winxp CD with you, just go to i386 folder on the CD, and run winnt.exe. You should download smartdrv.exe and run it before installing

What kind of problems are you having? If your h/w is functioning correctly and is XP compatible and you have up-to-date drivers, there should be no need to copy the I386 folder to c:

Perhaps the easiest way to copy it would be drag and drop.
