You can do that with the xp cd. Boot up with it and follow the instructions.

When you go trough the xp installer, it gives you a choice of where to install the system. There you have to first select and then delete the original partition. Then you have to either create or allow installer to use the drive.

Be warned that many computers have a hidden recovery partition. You may be able to return this to OEM state by some F key at boot or using a cd to assist.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

If you have programs that were installed to other partitions, others can correct me if I'm wrong, will not work. I believe that c partitions has ties to the other partitions in that the registry will be recreated anew on a new install of windows but not to programs that are installed on other partitions. These programs would have to be reinstalled again as the new registry has no reference to programs that had been install for example to d partition. Again others can correct me if I'm wrong. Music and pictures on other partitions wouldn't be affected.

Please let us know if our advice was able to help you.

You are correct concerning programs and the registry. It doesn't matter where the OS is loaded [c: d: whatever} the case will always be true.
