Comment:

i built a new computer. i used a generic memory 128mb ddr 2100. everything works great, but when i leave it on for hours, then i get a message about dump memory. the error messge comes with blue screen, and then it restarts. i have to turn it off for few mintues to start normal or the blue screen will show up if i turn it on after i get the error message. does this have to do with the memory card? thanks for replying

It can be caused by overheating. You said you left it on for hours then it blue screened - check the temperature inside. If you reboot it right away while it is still hot, you will get the blue screen but if you let it cool down then reboot it is okay. Check your fans. Leave the case open to let air flow in and see if the problem continues to happen.

we had the same error at work here and pinpointed it to a corrupt driver. It started with an irql hardware conflict and a memorey dump and we took the video card off of irq 9 as it had 3 things on it already. It happened again with irql equal or lesser and a memory dump error. This can be a pain as we thought it was hardware related. Good luck on your mission

When ram goes bad it usually gives you a varying error message, because if a certain file was loaded into the bad memory area it would cause that certain part to crash.

ya, the blue screen said something about a file name, but i can't remember the name of the file because the pc resterted. today i had no problems with it. i think the problem is from the memory because when i want to do more than one thing at once and when the pc is running many programs, the memory can't handle everything,. i need to keep my computer running for MONTHS, all day 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, what do i need to buy to keep the cpu and the motherboard safe, because i don't want them to blow up or stop working. any suggestions? thanks in advance

I am also facing the same problem. I have two RAM chips, I try using one chip one time and then both together but got the same blue screen. I open my casing, my fan is working properly, air is passing in it properly. I am facing this problem for 2 weeks before that it was fine. I check my RAM ativity in Windows Task Manager, it shows almost free RAM but CPU shows 100% working.
Normally I face this problem only when I connect to Internet.
If any one have some solution, please tell me I shall be really thankful.

Imran
