If you uncheck that box and press "apply" you will be prompted if you want to apply to all sub folders also. Say yes, and after a while it will mark the drive and everything on it as uncompressed. Compressing the drive makes a slight speed delay but increases the amount of data you can store on the disk.

It is unchecked?, I have never compressed my files. I can only think when I made a back up to disk that it compressed files to put on disk and I used the K drive, but never checked it myself, I don't want the drive compressed, how do I uncompress it safely?

It is not the files I am concerned with it is the drive, when I right click My Computer and explore it opens up my Computer, if I right click on my K and properties it is there where it says COMPRESS DRIVE TO SAVE SPACE and it is there is is checked, which I never checked it myself, can I uncheck that?

Yes. Just uncheck that. Again, when you do uncheck it and select apply or OK, it will ask if you also want to apply that setting to all sub folders. Again, say yes and all is back to the uncompressed state.
