i lent my old pc out for a while (about 9 months) then i recently had to get rid of my new one. my old pc now is ridden with malware/adware etc... i barely got to this website it's literally on its last legs task manager does not work i click on one thing and 13 mozillas open up every click i got 160+ mozillas open atm and they won't close if i try to (not responding and my pc freezes) its a decent pc also so i dont want to get rid of it. i want to reinstall windows and buy some virus protection. i've done it before and worked great. my dear "friends" in addition to ****ing this computer up have also lost my xp disc thx!!! i don't care about any programs or files on here i just want a clean install of my old windows. is there a way to make a copy of the xp disc from the files on my pc or re install from my previous installation the only thing i've found regarding this is winnt32.exe and winnt.exe if i am able to reinstall like that i don't think it will format it will it? if it is a must i can borrow a xp cd from a friend but first is there anything i can do before that

run magic jelly bean keyfinder, and write down your legit serial. install your friends xp (if your running home it must be home, and vice versa with pro or MCE). install with their key cause your key will be an OEM, after reinstall run magic jelly bean keyfinder again, however run like v1.5 so you can change their key you used to the one you wrote down. good luck, and feel free to pm me.

i used belarc advisor and will have to wait to get a media center edition xp. i am currently having problems restoring regedit though. (have another post on that here)
