Well, since you asked, you hold down the left click button on the file you want to move and then (keeping the button down) move the mouse to the location you want the file to move to. You then let go of the button and the file arrives there.

In some situations the file will actually move (mostly) in others it will just copy it. You just have to get to know that.

I too can't see what this has to do with a display, so what is that question?
