I need to convert a MSWMM file

I need to convert MSWMM (the windows movie maker format thing) to any other format that will be recognised by a normal program so any normal format really.. ive looked all over the internet for a converter but all i come across is useless forums. Thanks in advance for your help

open movie maker, open the project file (*.mswmm) and go right away to 'save as' and high quality. mm will save it now as 'wmv' ... just highlite wmv and replace it with mpg ... that's all, works fine for me.

sorry to bother you again but i opened it in windows media player clicked save as all files and saved on desktop i then went and changed it to something.mpg and it didnt convert the file it just left the .mpg there. Am i doing something wrong?

OK... open Windows Movie Maker, and Highlight your file on the collections list. When this is highlighted, click "save movie" on the top toolbar... (DO NOT CLICK FILE> SAVE AS... this will only save it again as MSWMM file)... once u have clicked Save Movie, a box will appear... click OK, and it will download files off the net to convert to a WMV file automatically. If you have any problems, let me know :)

Hi again, I opened it in Windows Media Player then saved it and it saved then i just downloaded a converter to convert it to avi, what i was trying to say i had the problem with was the changing the format but its ok now, Thanks for your help.
