I need PCTEL HSP56 modem drivers Win XP

I have a PCTEL HSP56 modem that uses the generic drivers for it... it doesn't work at Win XP! I create new connection, fill those parameters and all, then click on connect and it starts polling my phone, but it doesn't dial anything! how do i get it up and running, where I get Win XP drivers for it?!!!

1. PCTel is a horrible modem. 2. Use Win2k or NT drivers, mine works with those. 3. Make sure that BIOS and WinXP assign the same IRQ to your modem and that it's not shared or it won't be able to open teh COM Port. 4. That's it

i too have PCTEL modem and it is not compatible with win 2000 and xp.I called the company and they said that they do nto have the drivers

I need the same driver. I went to the pctel website and they say they will have xp drivers at the end of the year. Till then I am back to windows ME

i am not getting connected to net in winxp where as i can connect in win98 i think drivers r missing plz suggest from where can i download the drivers????
