I NEED HELP!!! (nov.2,2003)
Can someone help me about this IE desktop icon prob?
I played with some XP themes. when i had it installed, it changed not only the wallpaper but also my icons including the IE icon on the desktop. i reloaded the windows xp default theme. all the other icons were set back to their default appearance except the destop IE icon. the IE icons on the start menu are ok but the icon on the desktop is 'a folder with an icon-representing-a-file which you see when your computer does not have the appropraite program to run or oprn it'
the functions of the icon remains ok. nothings altered except the appearance of the IE icon. this bothers me and the rest of the people at home who shares my pc.
CAN SOMEONE EMAIL ME ABOUT THIS? I NEED THE HELP BADLY. noisygraveyard@hotmail.com

Scott, Just use Windows Explorer and go into your Program Files/Internet Explorer folder and right click the "IEXPLORE.EXE" file, and send to Desktop (create shortcut) and you should have what you want. If the current one is indeed a shortcut you could then delete the one you don't like.
