I lose Hard Drive Room(Memory)

I have had windows EP reinstalled on my hard drive for about 3 days, my drive C:/ hos 3GB of memory and for some reason i am down to 49MG ( only installed divX and WinZip and they are not over a Gig in sise), i have gone through disk cleaning and other things but i dont know where the memory is going can any one give me an idea of whats going on?

first of all, a harddrive is storage, not memory.
if you meant that you installed xp on a 3 gig drive, little or no stroage room is left on a 3 gig
