You can use an external monitor, but it only displays "what's going on" on the laptop itself. You can't use it as a completely different machine.

thanks tra but i did some digging and i actually got it to do what i wanted it to do i actually have a desktop monmitor to my labtop it is just like a split monitor i went into control panel and added it as aprojector or something lol
