I replaced the motherboard in my Dell D630 laptop. I powered it up and it came on for 5 seconds and went back off, what could be the problem?

My guess is you didn't install the heatsink on the CPU properly. Too much, too little, or zero thermal paste.

If you computer is not starting properly and shut down after a few seconds then the possible culprits could be a processor, video card, or RAM. Improper seating of the video card and RAM could be the sources of your problem. Examine the video card and RAM, to make sure that it’s evenly seated across the width of the PCI-Express slot.

It's a 9-10 year old laptop. It doesn't have PCIe slots or a video card, it uses onboard graphics. Why was the motherboard changed?
