I don't want to log on

Comment:
I recently installed SP2 (mistake?) and know whenever I reboot my system it asks me to log on. I don't use a password and only want one user account that goes straight to windows without asking. It's not asking for a password, just for me to click on the only account whenever I reboot or the screensaver comes on. How do I turn this off? Remove SP2? Thanks.

Do not understand your SP2 installation being a mistake, unless you did not back up so you could do a restore to way it used to be. Use settings>control panel>user accounts>change the way users log on and off.

In Control Panel, click User Accounts, then "Change the way users log on or off", check mark both items.
Also to say if you have Guest Account showing at Log on, then turn it off.
In User Accounts, click Guest Account, then click "Turn off Guest Account".

Start, Run, type 'control userpasswords2' (without quotes). This will bring up an applet that lets you create settings that eliminate the need for a password and skip that whole process.
