i can't open any .exe files since igot a virus called mapson(or something like that) and pe perile a(or something like that.It says averytime i open a exe file: "windows cannot find file..... Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again. I eliminated the viruses but after they beated my computer, there was 728 files infected total, 1 was perile and 727 was mapson.... i tried a file called exefix08 but it didn't work it said this everytime i tried to use the program: C:\WINNT\_default.pif Invalid program file name, please check you pif file. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application. The top blue part of that window said: 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem i would appreciate any help a LOT! I would be able to thank you people enough

Exefix08 is not compatible with XP. Go here: http://www.dougknox.com/ In the left column click on WinXP fixes, then in the main window click on file association fixes. Download and run the .exe file association fix.
