Hi I really need some expert advice here.I recently installed my IP Rogers software and I was experiencing some problems using their browser so I tried to Uninstall the rogers/Yahoo software, but it did not completely remove everything from add/remove programs.I am now left with Rogers Yahoo Application(Base components)it will not uninstall I tried it 6 times like the Rogers Tech's advised me to do so,And they now claim this happens and it will not interfere with anything on my compouter and its a windows problem for it not uninstalling?.I DO NOT agree because since this I am also noticing that when I uninstalled Yahoo messenger it appears to be removed from add/remove programs and my programs list but it still remains? when I tried to download it again at yahoo it said i already have the current version on my machine.Which is weird cuz it did not appear so the Tech told me to go ahead and download it again and see what happens.I still can't see it in add/remove programs or anywhere except for in my program files. But when I lauch yahoo messenger from my logitech Pro 4000 software which did not work properly before, it worked??.I now seem to have the 6.0 version of Yahoo as well??. I used to have 5.5 before all this uninstall issues happened. So basically i have yahoo messenger6.0 and my IP sofware stuck and i can't remove them??Along with the fact that messenger is not letting me start my Web Cam only from my Cam software quick lauch feature ONLY??And Yahoo emoticons dont appear for me when i type them in IM only my friends can see what emoticons i type in ?.SHOULD I UNINSTALL WINDOWS SP 2 ANDSTART ALL OVER FRESH AGAIN??I am very new to Computers Can anybody help me out with some DETAILED INFO on what I should do?Thank you very much for reading this post.

Try to restore your system to an earlier date. Before you put that rubbish on you want off. Bear in mind any programs and downloads you did after that date will disappaer as well. Start,All Programs, Accessories, system tools. System restore. Then follow the prompts.

You could try to manually remove using windows explorer and then run Regcleaner4.3. Recleaner removes orphan registry entries. I have found this utility to be very safe. After doing those things if the machine still isn't right see if there is an entry in add/remove software for IE 6. If there is and you select it you should get a choice to repair IE6. Then reinstall the Yahoo stuff. Get Recleaner4.3 here: http://www.worldstart.com/weekly-download/archives/reg-cleaner4.3.htm

If I understand this-You uninstalled the programs in add/remove and they uninstalled but you are concerned about the files/folders left in program files. Just go to program files and delete the files/ folders you are concerned about. Then google to regseeker and run a registry cleanup.

Please post back within 24 hours or I will delete the post from my follow up list. Thanks. It would be a courtesy if you would post back and let us know if the fix worked or not.
