i cant unhide a folder

I cant unhide folders i have on my drives from there properties , the Hidden ratio button is disabled ... this problem came out after i i forced a .exe virus which i solved it by an application called HijackThis, but still need help in hidden folder problem... help pleassssssssseeeee THANX...

I never have done this, but try Open the Command Prompt, Then type
attrib -h C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
NOTE space after the b, and after the h C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc is an example as to the 'path' to a folder. Use your own PATH to the folder in question.
You can verify the above by typing attrib /? in the Command Prompt.
